But it doesn’t need to stay that way. Chronic pain management techniques can help you. Mindfulness therapy and neuro linguistic programming (NLP) can make a marked difference.

Many people who live with pain find that they sink into depression. When pain is ongoing, it becomes physically and emotionally exhausting. It can lead to depression and loss of zest for life in general. But counselling can help.  Counselling methods can help those on medication as well as those who don’t want to continue to use pain medication or for those that find that pain meds no longer work.

Mindfulness Therapy With Counselling Can Help You Control Pain

Let’s work together to find a way to help you better cope with your pain.

Working with me can help you better cope with pain. Mindfulness therapy, hypnotherapy, relaxation exercises, and neuro linguistic programming can all help. I can work with you to get you taking steps in the right direction and this can improve your outlook and change your pain threshold so that pain can be dulled, diminished, and even eliminated. Working together will enable us to find the right approach to lessening the overwhelming sadness and depression that often accompanies extreme and ongoing pain.

How Long Does Pain Management Treatment Take and Will it Work?

Some clients are able to quickly control their pain after several sessions.  Some prefer intense treatments at first and then spaced out treatments once pain is under control. Your treatment is going to be unique, based on your needs and on your progress. Not all patients react the same to treatment so it’s important to be patient. Because I deal with patients with various issues to be resolved, I use measurement techniques that help us measure your progress as we go and adjust techniques as necessary.

Unique Treatment

You are a unique individual and for that reason you need unique treatment. My experience and qualifications have positioned me well to do that for you. Because I have training and experience in many areas and am a trained professional with a Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling), Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy, and an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, you can feel confident that you are in good hands. But beyond my degree, I have a counselling style that puts people at ease. My flexibility and unique skillset blended with my flexible approach to pain control will help you feel increasingly comfortable during treatment and on your own after each session.

Call me on 9530 6353 to set up an appointment. Whether we use NLP, mindfulness therapy, meditation exercises, or another technique, my goal is to find what suits you and which works best to help you with chronic pain.  Beyond counselling, consider downloading a recommended pain control recording. These recordings can work great in conjunction with counselling to help you with pain management.
