Bayside Psychotherapy - Policies

  • Privacy Policy: Bayside Psychotherapy will try to protect your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Laws of Australia. However, Bayside Psychotherapy does not guarantee the integrity of email, Skype, nor of any other online medium in which communications take place between Bayside Psychotherapy and you. Accordingly Bayside Psychotherapy will not accept responsibility for any breach of your privacy due to matters beyond Bayside Psychotherapy’s reasonable control arising out of or connected directly or indirectly with Skype or any other online medium in which communications take place between Bayside Psychotherapy and you. Your personal information and privacy is of very high importance to us. You may use our blog anonymously, however when referring friends, we may request particulars of personal identifying information in order to fulfill a request of yours. We will never rent, sell, trade or in any way reveal your personal information to any third party without your prior consent unless otherwise required by law.
  • Copyright Policy: No part of this website or blog may be copied or reproduced in any form whatsoever or transmitted to any other entity without the prior written approval of the owners of Bayside Psychotherapy. All rights strictly reserved.
  • Link & Advertising Policy: Bayside Psychotherapy exists primarily to help the general public (consisting of any race, nationality, sexual orientation or religion) to reduce suffering and gain deep insight into their inner world. We specialise in the treatment of adults primarily. As part of this mission, we sometimes link out to websites that share similar values. If you own a quality website related to mental health, and want your users to gain as much value as possible, please examine the services and information we provide. Then, should you wish, we would welcome you linking to us. We will never buy or sell links or participate in any kind of link exchange arrangement, ever. This website is privately funded by the owner. We do not accept paid advertising.
  • Cancellation Policy: For meaningful results, psychotherapy, counselling or hypnotherapy requires a strong commitment from both patient and therapist. To allow us to honour our commitment to remaining present and engaged without resentment, our therapists expect to be paid for their time set aside. Unlike other professionals such as GPs who often have long waiting lists, we set aside a longer period for consulting time and do not offer your reserved time to anyone else. In fact, your reserved time is your time, whether you choose to keep it or not. If your reserved time is cancelled and we go without income (and the possibility of taking another booking during that time), it could interfere with our ability to be impartial and effective therapists. Accordingly, without at least three working days notice of any cancellation, our standard session fees are expected for the reservation of our time. Rescheduling an appointment is also regarded as a cancellation. Thank you for understanding.
  • Lateness Policy: Like our cancellation policy indicates, we charge for the reservation of our time. We do not extend time if people are late. This enables us to be on time for all patients.
  • Website Content: The information contained in this website is intended to be informative only and shouldn't be used to diagnose or treat any disease, ailment, or anything else. The information written in this website should not be used to replace the specific advice of your health professional.
