How long will trauma treatment take?

Treatment for trauma may take time. Results may also happen fast. Some fear re-living trauma but dwelling is not useful. Learning how to be with intense feelings is completely different to dwelling. Dwelling can make matters worse, because there is no positive purpose attached. But mindfully learning how to accept feelings without judgement can be considerably effective. Psychotherapy is collaborative, which gives you control over how we work together. Approaches are suggested on a case by case basis.
