About Me

Hello, my name is Bernadette, I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor, and NLP Master Practitioner with a gentle, grounded approach and a strong clinical foundation in evidence-based therapies. I’ve trained in a range of modalities, including Resource Therapy, Parts Work, Compassionate Inquiry, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Mindfulness, that support people to explore their inner world, break free from unhelpful patterns, and rediscover a sense of calm and clarity.

I also have speaker development training, which allows me to help clients overcome issues like public speaking anxiety, imposter syndrome, and confidence challenges in corporate or performance settings. I’m a registered member of the Australian Association of Clinical Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (AACHP) and the Neuro Linguistic Programming Association of Australia (NLPAA). I currently offer sessions on Tuesdays from 1–7pm.

Who I Work With

I support both individuals and couples facing a range of challenges—such as anxiety, fear, trauma, grief, and relationship concerns. I also work with people navigating high-pressure environments who may be struggling with workplace stress, burnout, or professional identity. I tailor every session to the unique needs of the person (or couple) in front of me.

Drawing on current psychological thinking and trauma-informed techniques developed by leaders in the field, I offer practical, compassionate support in a confidential and respectful space. Whether you’re looking to reconnect with yourself, rebuild after hardship, or improve your communication and connection with others, I’m here to help you take that next step with confidence and care.

My approach draws from a diverse toolbox of therapeutic techniques. Clinical hypnotherapy helps you to attain a deep sense of calm and access to your subconscious mind to create positive change. Parts Integration allows you to explore and harmonise conflicting inner voices or beliefs that might be holding you back. NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) offers powerful tools for reframing thoughts and behaviours to better align with your goals.

Mindfulness counselling encourages gentle awareness of the present moment, helping you develop self-compassion and emotional resilience. Alongside these, active listening ensures that each session is guided by your needs and paced in a way that feels safe and supportive. Together, these methods provide flexible and personalised pathways toward healing and growth.

My Path to This Work

My decision to become a therapist came from lived experience. I lost my husband suddenly at the age of 40, and a year later moved to Australia with my 9-year-old son to rebuild our lives from the ground up. That time was filled with grief, fear, and uncertainty—but it also taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of having good support. Once my son graduated and I finally had the space to pursue something deeply meaningful, I began training in the therapeutic work I now offer to others. I understand how overwhelming life can feel—and how transformative it is to be truly heard, supported, and gently guided toward a better way forward.

These life lessons, combined with my professional training, shape everything I do. I hold a Certificate IV in Clinical Hypnotherapy (2021), completed NLP Master Practitioner training in 2023, Resource Therapy in 2022, and Compassionate Inquiry in 2024. After working in Northern NSW, I’ve recently relocated to Victoria and bring with me a deep commitment to helping others create calmer, more connected, and more hopeful lives.

My mission is simple: to help people feel safe, supported, and more at home in themselves and in their relationships—both at work and in life. I offer a steady, confidential presence where clients can be truly seen and heard, and where meaningful change becomes possible.
