About Me

Greetings, I’m Sara, an experienced practitioner in Clinical Hypnotherapy, helping people overcome trauma, grief, negative patterns and emotional burdens for more than three decades. My motivation comes from supporting individuals to eliminate mental obstacles, intrusive thoughts and the limiting belief of inadequacy that can hold them back.

My goal is to empower people to take control of their wellbeing and live happier, healthier lives free from the weight of negativity.

I’m warm, empathic and deeply committed to my clients’ progress. Alongside my clinical work, I train other hypnotherapists and run the Academy of Hypnotic Science in Melbourne. In recognition of my dedication, I was honoured with the Most Dedicated Clinical Hypnotherapist (Melbourne) award in the Australian Enterprise Awards 2023.

Life has presented me with challenges, including a personal battle with cancer — an experience that reminded me of the importance of self-care and balance. These experiences have deepened my understanding and strengthened my passion for helping others heal.

I now choose happiness, health and peace every day, and I can help you to do the same.

I help people move beyond emotional pain, self-doubt and negative habits to create lasting, meaningful change. Using a blend of clinical hypnotherapy, counselling and coaching, I work with you to uncover and address the root causes of what’s holding you back.

My sessions can support you with:

  • Trauma and grief
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Addictions and compulsive behaviours
  • Low confidence or self-esteem
  • Chronic stress and emotional fatigue

You can choose between online sessions or in-person appointments at Bayside Psychotherapy in Highett, Victoria. Every session is tailored to your needs, offering a calm, safe environment where you can find relief, clarity and confidence.

My commitment to helping others is rooted in both my professional expertise and my personal journey. I’ve experienced chronic illness, abusive relationships and cancer, each teaching me valuable lessons about resilience, healing and self-compassion.

Through those experiences, I learned that true healing begins when we take responsibility for our own wellbeing. I understand how it feels to lose control — and how powerful it can be to regain it. That empathy allows me to connect deeply with clients and guide them through transformation with care and authenticity.

I believe in living with purpose and peace, and my goal is to help you find both.

Every person’s situation is unique. My approach combines evidence-based hypnotherapy and counselling with warmth, curiosity and compassion. Together, we’ll explore what lies beneath your challenges and work towards change that feels achievable and empowering.

Sessions are collaborative, flexible and practical. Whether you’re seeking short-term support or deeper personal growth, I provide a welcoming space for self-discovery, reflection and progress.

Appointments are available Thursdays from 2 pm to 8 pm, online and in-person, for adults and children.

To book a session:

  • Call 03 9557 9113 during business hours, or

Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long—a focused time to unpack what’s weighing you down, whether it’s anxiety, relationship struggles, or compulsive lying. How often we meet depends on where you’re at—weekly sessions are common to dig into the root causes, but we’ll tailor it to you. Many start feeling shifts early on, though deeper change often unfolds over months or even years with regular commitment. If you’ve got a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), it helps with costs, but 10 sessions rarely scratch the surface of what psychoanalytic therapy can do. We’ll talk it through and find a pace that feels right for lasting progress.

Yes, I offer evening and Saturday appointments because life doesn’t stop when you need support. Whether you’re swamped with work or balancing family, I’ll do my best to find a slot that works—availability varies, so check and book online easily. It’s about tackling whatever’s holding you back, like overwhelm or relationship stress. You can check availability and book online.

Your story stays safe with me. I follow Victoria’s Privacy Laws to keep everything you share strictly confidential, only stepping in if the law requires it. Online sessions use secure, encrypted platforms, so whether you’re in Highett or across Melbourne, you can speak freely—about anxiety, shame, or anything else—knowing you’re in a judgment-free space. Trust is the foundation here.

I’m based in Highett, in Melbourne’s Bayside area—perfect if you’re nearby and want face-to-face sessions to work through anxiety, relationships, or whatever’s on your mind. Not local? Not a problem—I offer secure online therapy across Melbourne and beyond, bringing the same deep support to you, wherever you are. It’s about meeting you where you’re at, literally and emotionally.

I don’t provide crisis intervention—my work is about diving deep into issues like anxiety, guilt, compulsive lying or problematic relationship patterns over time, not emergency fixes. If you’re in a potentially unsafe spot right now, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 for immediate support. When you’re ready to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, I’m here to endeavour to help you build lasting change.

I carve out 50 minutes just for you, so if you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as you can with at least three full working days notice—life gets messy, I get it. If you’re unwell, we can often switch to online or phone to keep the momentum going. My cancellation policy is full fee for late notice, but it’s there to keep our work steady as well as respect my time—whether we’re tackling addiction or overwhelm. I’m flexible where I can be to support you by switching to telehealth if necessary.

Yes, with your consent, I’ll collaborate with your GP, psychiatrist, or other professionals to round out your care—especially if you’ve got a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). It’s useful at times for complex circumstances and weaving together insights on issues like anxiety, addiction, or relationship stress. My psychoanalytic lens complements their input, helping us tackle the deeper incompatible thoughts and feelings together.

Sessions are $200 for 50 minutes—your commitment for aiming to break free from anxiety, compulsive lying, or relationship ruts. With a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you can claim a Medicare rebate, though the first session’s full fee applies. NDIS self-managed or plan-managed? I’ve got you covered—just reach out before booking. No bulk billing, but every session is about real, lasting value, not just a quick chat. You can book your session here.
